Alt-Bionics, founded by UTSA alumnus Ryan Saavedra, recently announced a $25,000 pre-seed investment made by Alamo Angels, a San Antonio based angel investor network. While studying electrical engineering at UTSA, Saavedra developed a bionic hand prototype for below-elbow amputees and those with congenital disorders. Dr. Mo Jamshidi awarded Army Civilian Service Achievement Medal

Dr. Mo Jamshidi received an unexpected honor recently. The Department of the Army awarded him the Civilian Service Achievement Medal for his “exceptional service as a member of the Army Science Board”.
