The teams include Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. Engineering Seniors who have been previously involved in EPICS can also petition to have the program count for their senior design capstone requirements.<\/p>\n<p>In our Inaugural semester, Spring 2019, we began the design phase of two projects for the San Antonio Doseum with and estimated deployment in Spring 2020.\u00a0 As of Spring 2020, EPICS has since expanded to 7 projects with 5 different community partners.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of the distinctions of the EPICS program is to decouple project design from a fixed unchanging design team and the traditional 1 to 2 semester limit seen with classic senior design projects.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EPICS program has spread to over 25 universities in the US and internationally and starting Spring 2019 EPICS is being offered at UTSA.
