Amanda Gomez joined the MBI lab in the fall of 2021 as a Ph.D student in the Biomedical Engineering program. Her project focuses on using nanomaterials for non-invasive approaches to neuromodulation.
She graduated from UTSA in the spring of 2021 with her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Previous research experience includes projects at the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute, Northwestern University, and UTSA.
Outside of the lab, Amanda is a Crossfit coach at a local gym and enjoys working out most days of the week! She is also always in search of new and delicious food in San Antonio.
