BME 3211 – Biomedical Engineering Laboratory I
By the conclusion of the course, students will develop the following:

1. To synthesize biomaterial samples
2. To perform basic biomechanical characterization of biomaterials
3. To use modern engineering tools, equipment, and software
4. To communicate through written, oral, and graphical communications
5. To perform basic statistical analysis of experimental results

BME 4443 – Stem Cell Engineering
By the conclusion of the course, students will learn the following:

1. To list and compare different types of stem cells
2. To practice critical reading, writing, and oral communication and problem-solving skills
3. To apply cellular engineering design principles to develop solutions for current biomedical problems
4. To develop skills to enable life-long learning in future engineering and scientific research endeavors

BME 6903 – Biomaterials
By the conclusion of the course, students will learn the following:

1. To introduce materials used in medicine and dentistry 
2. To understand the properties of biomaterials
3. To learn characterization techniques for evaluating biomaterials 
4. To understand the biocompatibility of the material
