Craig M. Blount received his B. Arch. Degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1970. After working with Jack Dempsey Architect, he and two other recent Arch. Graduates drew upon their extensive construction experience and started a design/build firm, completing many projects in Austin including several experimental buildings, the first commercial project on historic Sixth Street and the Armadillo World Headquarters.
In 1980 he opened his own office in San Antonio and has to date completed well over 100 projects there. In 1981 he began teaching and in 2003 received The University of Texas at San Antonio’s President’s Distinguished Achievement Award for Teaching Excellence. He currently focuses on sophomore design and presentation graphics.
