It's an exciting time to be a part of our young and growing university. Over the last few years, the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department's programs have continued to improve in quality and expand in specialty, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The faculty, which excels both in research and in the classroom, has grown to 26 full time and 8 adjunct members and includes renowned Fellows of the IEEE, SPIE, ACerS, AAAS, and other professional engineering societies, National Science Foundation CAREER Awardees, and recipients of prestigious national (Carnegie Foundation) and state (UT System Regents) teaching awards. The department's research program has also increased, as evidenced by the current funding level of $3 million dollars which represents more than a threefold increase since 2009.
We appreciate your interest in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UTSA and extend our warmest welcome to you from the Department.
