EPA’s People,Prosperity and the Planet (P3) program consists in pushing college students to develop environmentally friendly projects that benefit people, promote prosperity and protect the planet that help to build a sustainable future.
UTSA participated in this program under the leadership of Dr. Krystel Castillo and Dr. Marcio Giacomoni to create a Web-Based Tool to Reduce GHG Emissions from Coal. This tool’s main goal is to increase public awareness of greenhouse gas emissions for energy production and how emission can be lowered by co-firing biomass in power plants.
