A2 scenario represents an extremely pessimistic future, which assumes large pollution increase,halted economic growth,and not much progress in the change of technology. A2 also predicts a substantial increase in carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere as well as in temperature.
B2 scenario corresponds to a moderate increase in CO2 levels in the atmosphere and a smaller increase in temperature.
