Hobbies: In my ever decreasing time away from OR, lecturing and consulting, I enjoy different activities including swimming, cycling and hiking. Other interests include reading and listening to music. I am also a member of the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale) (http://www.fci.be/).
Areas of Research Interest: I am interested in some operations research related areas such as computer simulation, mathematical programming, stochastic modeling, and computer programming, specially, vehicle routing, network optimization and logistic systems simulation.
Current Projects:
- Modeling and optimization of biofuel supply chains.
- National Program for Supplier Development (Nissan, Jatco, Calsonic, Yorozu, etc.)
- Performance Evaluation and Control of the UAA University Quality System (Dynamic Systems and Decision Models – Stafford Beer).
