The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) ranks No. 7 among the minority-serving institutions in the nation that received the most federal research obligations (expenditures) for science and engineering, according to updated data released by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for fiscal year 2015. In FY 2015, UTSA expended $23.3 million in federal funding

June, The University of Texas at San Antonio broke ground on its $95 million Science and Engineering Building (SEB), the largest construction project in university history.
