The University of Texas at San Antonio Large-Scale Structural Testing Facility has been nominated for the American General Contractors (AGC) Texas Building Branch 2019 Outstanding Construction Awards in the Educational Facilities ($0-$10 million) division.
Every year, the Texas Building Branch of AGC sponsors the Outstanding Construction Awards competition. Projects are judged on difficulty in construction resulting from design, location, materials, etc.; unusual construction techniques involved; final appearance and quality of the finished product; timeliness of completion; and utilization of AGC members. A chapter committee recently nominated the UTSA Large-Scale Structural Testing Facility among other local newly constructed buildings across an array of categories.
The state winners will be announced at the AGC Texas Building Branch Award Dinner on August 22, 2019 at the Sheraton Hotel in Georgetown, Texas.
